I have been holding the space and leading yoga holidays now for 14 years and absolutely love this aspect of my teaching more than ever. Teaching a retreat is so rewarding both for the student and the teacher. I never ever feel drained after teaching a retreat because one of the most magical things is its ability to always give me back more than I give.
There is always an element of the unknown to begin with, however I try my best to humble myself to the power of yoga and encourage the students to do the same from the very beginning. Every class becomes progress and even more so on a yoga holiday, we learn to trust, to never to lose hope and believe that anything is possible with a little bit of patience and perseverance. We love, we let go, we play, we form strong bonds, we always laugh lots and of course we get out of our heads and open our hearts to it all. After a couple of days, the yoga connects us all like a close knit family, then in no time at all, a special vibe begins to emerge, both from the yoga space and from the group.
Consequently, we come home feeling completely nourished, nurtured, renewed, re-inspired, refreshed and with a new passion or even a vision for all that lies ahead of us. A week of yoga with an amazing group of people literally changes your perception on life.
I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to all of the beautiful souls whom have attended past retreats and made my job so rewarding.
Love Brigitte xx
