So – we have come to the end of another truly wonderful yoga year.  I have grown and learn’t so much this past year with regards to my teaching, myself and my students both on and off the mat. Each and every one of you in your individual, unique way encourages and inspires me on this beautiful life long journey.

I have so many things to be grateful of this past year. My Retreat to India at the beginning of the year was an amazing life changing experience for all of us. India is a beautiful, spiritual country and the feelings that I developed there left deep  impressions within me.  Feelings I will hold on to and cherish in my heart forever.

Whitespace Yoga Studio in Stony Stratford  has also contributed greatly to my own growth too this past year. The studio has been a great success in its 1st year and I feel honored to have been a  part of that and to be able to teach in such a calm, serene environment. Thanks to Whitespace and Deborah, I have expanded my knowledge and teaching in many ways. I have loved teaching Meditation classes, Therapeutic one to ones, Pranayama and Restorative classes and fully intend to train/study more on all of these subjects in 2012 . In the New Year I shall also be teaching a Workshop/Master class at Whitespace Yoga Studio every month on a Saturday afternoon – so stay tuned.

I have also been on several Anusara trainings with – Bruce Bowditch, Ross Rayburn and John Friend all of which were totally mind blowing and inspiring. I have taught master classes, weekend retreats, retreat days, international retreats, many workshops and  I have hosted for international guest teachers here in Milton Keynes. Wow what a fab year and I am so grateful for it all, I have the best job in the world and I could not do it without all of your support. Thank you.

The end of the year is a great time to remember who you are what you want in this life. Sometimes life gets so busy you can get a little lost on the path of being your ‘true authentic self’. Your truth and values make up who you are and will absolutely drive your behaviour, personality and life. When we are consisitant with what we believe in, it sits well within us and we feel happy and content with our lives.

How can your values can be a part of your day-to-day life? Think about this next year, if nothing were to hold you back, what would you do? What makes you happy? What do you like to do? Sit quietly and reflect on these questions, then see yourself becoming that person. In terms of sadhana, we have to be tough in the face of self doubt and inner demons that seek to sabotage our hearts longing and desires so that we can follow through.

I am proud to say that several of you have actually have followed your dharma this past year and are going to be venturing down a new and exciting path in 2012. I for one can’t wait to see how your lives begin to unfold in a new direction and truly wish you all well in your new ventures – you know who you are!

In 2012, I encourage you all to try your best to just be yourself, know yourself, and with one love and one heart lets go down this road together, supporting and encouraging each other along the way. Being the best person we can truly be – ‘Our True Authentic Self’.

Only you will ever be you. It’s such a simple, but powerful thought.

‘Be the Change You wish to See’

Wishing you all so much love and gratitude for the past year and a wonderful New Year
